My two dear friends, Michelle Titus (founder of Cummari and creator of immersive and magical Sicilian experiences on the island) and Lavinia Spalding (incredible writer author, and teacher) and I will be leading a Creativity Retreat in Sicily in May!
We’re calling it, Divining Creativity, because divining is “the practice that seeks to discover hidden knowledge or intuitive perception," and who couldn't use
more of that?
At Masseria Sur Mar, in the Oasi Gelsomineto Wildlife Refuge of Siracusa, Sicily on the Ionian Sea, we’ll connect with our richest experiences and put them to paper, illustrated-essay style.
In this intimate, nourishing space, we'll explore the divine feminine deeply rooted in Sicily and explore our own potent and sacred creativity.
We’ll be offering daily writing and art lessons, meditation, movement, women’s circles, Sicilian food and wine, and an abundance of feminine magic, natural beauty, sea dipping, and fun.
This dream of a retreat is open to all levels of writers and artists!

Unfurl a more creative life.
Starting January 9th, 2024
I’m thrilled to be starting an online creative community with two friends, Lavinia Spalding and Karen Wertheim. Lavinia is an incredible writer, author, and teacher and Karen is a Community Designer, master organizer, and Unfurler.
Last November, at the end of a workshop in Kathmandu, Karen asked if we’d offer something longer-term than a single workshop. She pitched the idea of a year-long, membership-based, mentor-led, travel-inspired community intended to cultivate a more creative life. We loved the idea, and for the past year, we’ve been meeting weekly to design the program.
A one-year Studio Unfurl membership includes two eight-week interwoven writing and art workshops taught by Lavinia and me, guest conversations with notable creatives, “prompt studios” in which we’ll write and sketch together, community meet-ups and salons, ongoing resources and recommendations, and more! It’s open to writers and artists of all levels.
The community kicks off on January 9th, with the first workshop on January 16th (live, online, but also recorded for those who have to miss sessions).
